Just to add to Rolig's answer, if you are not a scripter you may find it easier to get hold of a copy of the free tool, nPose (look in the marketplace), which will help you add animations to your furniture and also to make it give out objects like food.

Please note that the "food" will have to have copy/transfer permissions if the furniture is to be able to give it to your friends and not just to you.   That  shouldn't be a problem if you are simply modding the furniture for your own use, since you can set the next owner permissions for the food items as no transfer, but it could be a problem if you're hoping to sell the furniture.

As with your other question, it all depends on how (and whether) your furniture was designed to accept animations and other items.  Furniture without scripts is completely inanimate.  To make animations work in the furniture or to make it hand out objects, you need to have a script that is designed to manage the animations and objects.  The script will control where you sit, when the animation is triggered, who may use it, and anything else the scripter wants to do.  If you don't have a script that is written for your specific piece of furniture and the specific animation you want to use, you'll have to either write one or adapt one that someone else has written.

Your questions demonstrate an admirable interest in making things new/different in SL.  The bad news, as you'll have noticed, is that we can't possibly give advice on any specific - unidentified - item from the millions (billions?) of things in SL.

The good news that the things you have, on sale in the marketplace and everything you see/hear in-world were made by residents just like you and us.  You may be interested in creating (and possibly selling) your own furniture and clothes instead of 'just' adjusting the ones you've bought.

Caledon Oxbridge, Builders' Brewery, NCI (Kuula Sim) and others are helper organisations in-world that run free classes in all aspects of SL, especially content creation.  Teleport to one (I recommend Caledon Oxbridge as a particularly good place to start) for classes, freebies, help and advice.
