Animation Twilight Zone

I had this animation in a prim, in a linkset.  Then I moved the prim with animation to a different location in the linkset.  Now the animation plays when I sit on an empty prim that WAS sitting directly below the prim with animaiton.

 

How can an animation play from an empty prim that never had any animation or script in it?

Guessing that the link numbers in your linkset have changed, and the script is setting a sit target using llLinkSitTarget.

The animation only needs to be in the inventory of the same prim the script is in, regardless which prim is sat on.
