When I click on the comunication tab and then on friends and then rt click on IM, I do not get a communication window and I am unable to communicate.  Neither can I communicate with others in my vicinity.  I have rechecked my preferences and reloaded SL following your directions for clearing temp and sl folders prior to download.  This did not solve my problem.  Maybe I have a setting incorrect.

When I click on the tabs and the dropdowns I get a click but that is all.  My friends in the same room are unable to communicate with me.  Can you help?

Hi Boagyman,

I don't have an answer for you, but we've got another resident (Destry) who's also having problems with chat/IM. Hopefully, someone more knowledgable than I will come along with some ideas.

Until then, have you tried an alternative viewer?
