1. Make your texture in Photoshop, GIMP, or your favorite graphics arts program.

2.  Upload it to SL

3.  Put it on a flat prim

4.  Put the prim on the wall.

Or, simply combine steps 3 and 4 by putting your texture on the wall itself if you own the building or your landlord allows you to modify it..

1.  Create the logo in GIMP or Photoshop, with a transparent background.  Make the image square, and when you are done, change the image size to 512x512 pixels, or 256x256 pixels, depending on how much detail needs to be seen.

2.  Save the image as a .PNG or a .TIF file to preserve the transparency.

3.  Import the image into Second Life with File/Upload Image.  This will cost you $L10.

4.  Create a prim.  Make it square, but thin.  Say, dimensions 2.0, 0.02, 2.0.

5.  In the Textures tab, make it 100% transparent, and Full Bright

7.  Apply your logo image to the front face of the prim, and change that face only to be 0% transparent.

8.  Name the prim "ShopLogo"

9.  Move the prim to rest just a smidgen above the wall.

You can save a prim, if the wall is editable.  Export the wall texture, load it into GIMP or Photoshop.  Make the image size the same dimensions as your wall.  Apply your logo on a new layer.  Resize the image to 512x512 (it will squish, but that's OK).  Save it, and upload it to SL.  Now apply the new image as a texture on the face of the wall you desire.

EDIT:  Dang it, Rolig, stop typing so fast!  :matte-motes-big-grin:
