Hi everyone^_^! I've got a bit of a unique project I'm looking to have done. I'm a big fan of cartoon cars, and you don't see many made in SL. So I'm lookig for a builder I can commission to make one for me. :) Not for free of course. I'll be more than happy to compensate whomever takes on the project for their work. Due to incidents with past builders, I can no longer give full payment for the project in advance. The most I will give in advance is half of whatever price it is we work out.

Anyway, the project, as I said, is a cartoon style car. :) Like one you'd see in one of those old Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck cartoons and comics. The car itself would have two main colors: Pink for the body, and a much deeper pink (possibly magenta) for the fenders (the round arches above the tires). For the radiator, the color would be gold, and the front and back bumpers would be grey (or silver). The seats would be a light shade of brown, and the steering wheel would be a shade of cream white (or is it cream yellow?). The door handles, rearview mirrors, and frame for the windshield would be the same shade of grey (or silver) as the front and back bumpers, and if doable, a license plate at the front and back of the car that reads "ELSEY02". If you are the one taking this project and would like more images of how a cartoony car might look, please let me know and I will be happy to provide them via email. :) I have several still images ready.

For scripts, it doesn't need to have anything terribly flashy, just basic things: engine on/off, seat position adjuster, lights on/off, exhaust, standard manual speed (like a 4 or 6-speed gearbox), and if possible, a resizing script for the car. Just basic car scripts, you know? It doesn't really need to make cartoonish sounds while running, but it would add a bit more athenticity to the car, and I'd be happy to pay extra for that. If anything, at least an older engine sound like for a vintage car or something for while the car is idling and accelerating would work just fine. :) One other detail I'd be happy to pay extra for, if it's possible, would be a patch or two on each of the whitewall tires. The patches aren't something that HAVE to be added, but being a cartoon car, I'd at least like it to have somewhat cartoony whitewall tires. In terms of the cabin, it really only needs to be big enough for just one avatar, but it would be just as good if it could fit two. I'm not expecting the car to bounce constantly or shoot water out of the radiator like it would in a cartoon. I'm simply looking for it to be a driveable car is all.

If you are able to take the job, please IM me inworld so we can discuss the project and work out how much it will cost to have it done. I've had some bad experiences with custom car builders in SL in the past, so seeing as it would be too easy to end up tricked or ripped off, I'll only be able to pay you half of the price we work out in advance. Once the car is finished, I will pay you the other half of the money then. I'm looking for a cartoony style here, so it should have a lot of rounded parts and whitewall tires. For ideas of what old cartoon cars look like (if you've never seen one before) please view the image links below, and contact me if you're interested in doing the project. How soon I'll be able to pay will depend on how much it is you (meaning the one taking on the project) asks for the job. These images are just to give an idea of how cartoon cars have a lot of rounded parts. I'd rather not get on Disney's bad side by violating copywrite laws, so if you take the project, please try not to make an exact replica of ust one of the images you see below. Use the images below to get an idea of how one might make a cartoony looking car, and let me know if you'd be iterested in taking on the job. :) Thanks for reading everyone. :)

If thats what you call basic, what would be the advanced version? The only thing i may think of missing is particles, or did you just forgot about? :P

Well it obviously doesn't have to do all that stuff it does in the cartoons. It just needs to be drivable is all. I have one someone else built me for L$500 that has all the features I listed, and it's made to just be a regularly drivable car. Trying to make scripts to get it to do any of that stuff you see in the cartoons would be far too costly and difficult. I can't build or script myself, but from what I know, scripts like that would be very difficult to make. So I'm just happy with it looking like one of those cartoon cars. The exhaust counts as particles though, right?

I felt I should clarify something. I'm not looking to make the car bounce up and down, backfire, and shoot water or steam from the radiator like it would in a cartoon. I'm simply looking for it to be a regular, driveable car made to look like a car out of a cartoon, and having basic car/drive scripts to make it drivable (obviously, otherwise it'd be kind of hard for it to be drivable without them xD). I just thought I should clarify. The YouTube video links are simply to offer some view of the car at different angles. If it's an issue of copywrite, it does not have to look like Mickey Mouse's car. Just something cartoony like you might see in one of his cartoons.
