VioletPrisioner
Hi there. I can't get into the game because it crashes everytime. I loads till I see the world, but it crashes few seconds later and the crash logger appears. I tried updating the drivers of my graphic card, but that didn't work. I tried uninstalling and installing the game again, didn't work either. I tried with older and beta viewers but all of them crash. I tried cleaning the cache files too, I don't know what else I can do.Could it be a compatibility issue with my graphic card? Here they are my PC specs:CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2320 CPU @ 3.00GHz (2993.25 MHz)Memory: 8158 MBOS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit (Build 7600)Graphics Card Vendor: ATI Technologies Inc.Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 6800 SeriesWindows Graphics Driver Version: 8.17.0010.1236OpenGL Version: 4.2.12441 Compatibility Profile Context 13.200.11.0libcurl Version: libcurl/7.21.1 OpenSSL/0.9.8q zlib/1.2.5 c-ares/1.7.1J2C Decoder Version: KDU v7.0Audio Driver Version: FMOD Ex 4.44.12Qt Webkit Version: 4.7.1 (version number hard-coded)Voice Server Version: Not ConnectedBuilt with MSVC version 1600Any help will be really appreciated! Thinkerer Melville
Here are some possibilities Login fails? Lots of logouts? Summary Troubleshoot Your #SL Connection Recently someone else had a problem like the one you describe. The cause turned out to be overheating of the graphics board.. He found a temp fix by turning a house fam on the case. Others have removed the case. TKR
Vivienne Daguerre
I am having exactly the same problem. I am using an Alienware laptop with an ATI Radeon Mobility 5870 graphics card. Firestorm viewer works fine, at least for now, but the SL viewer does not.
Coventina Dalgleish
An efficient way to monitor your system heat is Speedfan a free cpu, gpu,hd monitoring application this will at least give you information about the temperatures of your hardware and either confirm or eliminate that variable It also monitors the voltage levels of your power supple SL places a high stress level on both the GPU and the power supply

Viktoria Dovgal
OpenGL Version: 4.2.12441 Compatibility Profile Context 13.200.11.0 It's this, the graphics driver is too new. Second Life is not compatible with AMD Catalyst versions newer than 13.4 Help>About in the viewer will show "OpenGL Version: 4.2.12217 Compatibility Profile Context 12.104.0.0" for the last version that worked. Keanu Ronwood
Im using Second Life 3.6.7 (281385) Sep 24 2013 00:36:11 (Second Life Release), and it keeps crashing, well then its a problem they need to fix. Im using Catalyst Version 13.9. If its the amd driver, then why don't it crash on FireStorm Release. Firestorm v4.4.2.34167. Its as stable as could be. Use second life client, i log in, see myself in the world, then crash to desktop.
