Eduardo2013Chaves
My avatar has some sharp angles on different parts of his body. It's very unnatural looking at certain angles. Is there anything I can do to smooth it out? Is there a tool in the viewer menu I can use to do this? Please help.Thank you
0 Dilbert Dilweg
Go on Second Life Marketplace and search for a "Mesh Avatar". The default avatar is all jacked up as you can see those jagged edges when making your avatar bigger in some areas. Poor quality. But you can find some smoother ones out there made of mesh
0 Lindal Kidd
Dilbert's right, a Mesh avatar will solve the problems of the rather blocky default avatar mesh. However, they tend to be expensive, and they have drawbacks of their own. For example, clothing made for the normal SL avatar will not work with a Mesh avatar. You can only wear clothing that is offered by the maker of that particular avatar. One can somewhat overcome the blockiness of the standard avatar by careful juggling of the Appearance sliders. In particular, don't try to "bulk up" yourself too much. A good skin can help some too; its shading can draw the eye away from blocky edges. 0 Marigold Devin
You can upload a photo to this thread to show us what you mean by sharp angles. real life people do tend to have angular shoulder blades or sticky-out hips and protruding knee caps.
