Kwakkelde Kwak
Does anyone know if there's a debug setting or something that controls the maximum distance to cast shadows? It's very ugly on the ground when there are lots of skyboxes hovering overhead.
Qie Niangao
As far as I know, once the thing is rendered, it will cast shadows. Even skyboxes at thousands of meters altitude will cast shadows on the ground if one ever rezzes them. For this reason, I've reduced my draw distance while running with shadows enabled (which is pretty much all the time for me now). Nonetheless, it's quite astonishing how many clueless n00b landowners there are with sky builds below 250m.
Kwakkelde Kwak
I was afraid of that, thanks anyway.
Chic Aeon
I haven't actually TRIED this (or most likely I just did it automatically, it worked and I forgot it worked ) but I suspect that if you DERENDER the object (TPVs) then it would not cast a shadow. I know that I moved some of my big pads at MOSP higher in the air to keep those shadows from the ground, so the draw distance info is most likely correct. Good luck. Kwakkelde Kwak
I usually run the official viewer, but that sounds like a valid solution. I'll keep that in mind...thanks.
