How does someone know they're being watched?

I was watching people try boat demos in my store by camming in on them (as this helps me to detect problems) and was asked to remove my cam from their heads. Now, how did they know I was camming in on them?

They are guessing, based on the information they are getting from the LookAtMe feature that you can activate/deactivate in Preferences >>>. Privacy.  It's an unreliable indicator, because it doesn't indicate where a person is looking -- simply where the focal point of their camera is, usually the last place it was set with Alt + Mouse Click.   You can easily continue to cam without fear of being annoyed by overly-sensitive customers.  Just go to Preferences >>> Privacy yourself and check Don't send my actual camera target hints
