They are guessing, based on the information they are getting from the LookAtMe feature that you can activate/deactivate in Preferences >>>. Privacy.  It's an unreliable indicator, because it doesn't indicate where a person is looking -- simply where the focal point of their camera is, usually the last place it was set with Alt + Mouse Click.   You can easily continue to cam without fear of being annoyed by overly-sensitive customers.  Just go to Preferences >>> Privacy yourself and check Don't send my actual camera target hints
