Question

Hi

1) May I know if Second Life support/connects with agents programming platforms such as Jason or Jade, through any form of integration to run multiagents program?

2) How do you start scripting in Second Life: editor, compilation and running?

3) how can other platforms be integrated to Second Life?

Thanks.

1. No it does not. Java is not a language present within SL, though it can run 'through' SL without touching SL itself via Javascript in MOAP objects.

2. Create a script in your inventory, or in any in-world object. Start coding, then save when ready. The script is compiled automatically according to optimised settings and runs immediately (or with on/off toggle per script).

3. Typically they are done via HTTP requests; an LSL script reads a short webpage built from outputs of the connected system, interprets it and determines the next course of action. For sending, HTTP data can be sent via methods POST or GET. Other options for XML-RPC also exist, along with [fairly basic] Email handling.
