Removing/disabling the onscreen console

There are some things that can be done to minimize the time and number of lines is prints on screen. However, this still dose not prevent a text wall from comming up when a person spams a chat channel, quite annoying when building. This is a case of Don't need it, Don't use it, Don't want it. I there a place in the code to just flat disable this annoyance?

If you use a viewer with the CHUI interface you can turn your notifications for local chat to "None" in Preferences and then close the chat console. Local chat will still be stored in the console but you won't see it.

I do not think CHUI interface is in the main viewer yet so I would have to say no I do not have it.

It is in the main Official viewer. You can shut down popups for all types of incomming messages in preferences/chat tab and shut the conversations console in the Communicate menu and see no chats, ctrl-t disables and enables that console

The onscreen console is different from the windowed console and those controls do nothing to it.

What viewer are you using and what "console" are you referring to?

Also info of what viewer you are using.
