Your normals are the wrong way round. To see them, click the right hand one of the two buttons labelled Normals, in the Mesh display section of the properties bar on the right of the 3D view. The blue lines need to point outwards. Use Mesh->Normals->Flip to invert all of them, or Mesh->Normals->Recalculate outside to correct them.

In SL, all mesh is shown one-sided, giving the effects you see. In Blender, the default is two-side display with Solid display. Check the Backface culling checkbox at the bottom of the Display section of the properties bar to see one-sided display as it will be in SL.
