Question

Even though I did some texturing in another 3D site, I have pretty much had to forget everything I learned there and start over because textures show up so differently here. I have looked everywhere for a tut on how to make a t-shirt look like a t-shirt. So far all I have found is how to make the alpha and how to put a picture on it. I don't want to just plop a picture on a flat cutout. I want the t-shirt to actually look like a t-shirt. Is there a good tutorial for this that I have just over looked? I work with Gimp, but I've gotten pretty good at following PS tuts and finding the equivalent settings, so any tut would do.

Are you trying to make it mesh? Or regular?

Well, anyway, I am not a creator lol, but here, hopefully this helps...

I believe it has the templates needed or maybe a start to direct you where you want to go.

 Good luck!

**Oh,  if you look on Marketplace a lot of creators sell full perm templates.  All you have to do is add your own design and style to it.**

Before you go buying templates, you might want to look at Robin Wood's free template and tutorial.  It's the one that many of us used when we were just starting, many years ago.  Robin is still one of the most accomplished texture artists in SL, a good teacher, and one of the nicest women you will ever meet.  Even if you don't use her T-shirt template, spend some time looking through other tutorials on her web site and then visit her sim (Livingtree, at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Livingtree/121/101/25 ) to look through tutorials and other materials in her library.

Yes I do think that there are so many different institutes and textures to teach you regarding the designing of T-shirts. T-shirts are mosly updated to give you a fashionable look and to make you fit with it. As like the details of the studies varries from one brand to another. Also you can find several branded showrooms and organizations providing the base of the source and the origin of T-shirts.
