trying to make a tattoo on only one arm how do I do this without it ending up on both pls help

all the temples I find only have the one arm is there one that has two or any full body templates I can use ?

No, templates have just one arm so tattoos will appear on both arms. For one arm, you would have to create a cylindrical prim with a tattoo on it, which I've never done but seen mentioned as working quite well.

To expand; templates only have one arm because avatars only have 1 arm!  The other arm is 'made' by simply reflecting the single one for which texture and shape information is stored.  This is particularly annoying for people who want to have text on their arms.  They could, sometimes, live with it being the same on both arms but, unfortunately, on one arm it will be in mirror-writing.

The only way to make a one-arm tattoo, I think, is to use mesh rather than a tattoo layer.   Then you could make a transparent mesh jacket with a visible tattoo on one arm, sized to sit flush against the skin.   I assume you would need to rig it but I don't know.     

I've certainly seen one-arm tattoos made using mesh, but you would need to ask somone who understands mesh how to make them.
