Griefer object - can they assign different names as creators or owners?

Do griefers have the ability (i'm sure illegal) to change the name of the creator on an object?  Sort of like when you get an email where the From: field has been changed...

Basically, any item created by someone with full perms could be used by a griefer to nefarious ends. So yes, the creator may not be the actual griefer.

Thanks, though that's not the gist of the question.  Can the griefer, who created the object, assign a random name to the creator field on the object?

A script can not change the name of the creator.

The name of the creator can be changed using a cloner.   The cloner uses a full perm prim inside the cloner and the name is changed to the name of the creator of that prim.  So if you gave someone a full perm prim you created they could use a cloner to copy something that shows you as the creator.

Copybotters can also duplicate an object changing the name of the creator.  I have never used one though so I don't know if they can be used to change the name of the creator to someone other than the avatar using the copybot viewer.  Perhaps someone else will know.
