Camping Locations?

I'm getting a new PC and I'm thinking about getting back into Second Life.  Does anyone know of any good camping spots so I can earn some in-game currency?

Camping is now illegal.  It can only be legally done on land not listed in search.  As a result, there is little incentive for merchants to offer it anymore and no incentive to pay L's for it..  I've seen some camping for prizes in an area segregated from a shop on a different lot, but even that is few and far in between.

You can enter contests for L's but you have to win of course.  There are a few money trees around that may give you a linden or two..  You can complete surveys for L's but that is risky because you have to do it by going to an unfamiliar website and maybe giving them some RL info. 

Another way to earn L's in SL is to get a job if you have any skills in demand.  Low skill jobs like hosts, dancers etc don't pay you, you work for tips.  You will have to work several hours a week to get just a few L's.  You'll earn more in less time by getting a part time RL job and buying L's or take the money you'd spend on coffee or lunch and use that.

you could try some of the games that have come out lately there's a game for fishing and one for hunting coins. Not sure what there called. Payout isn't great ont hem though. There's also a thing that pays you for visiting peoples land xamount of minutes is x amount of lindens. Also has terrible payout rates.

 

If you just want a nice  looking avatar and aren't worried about anything else then to start out with I would try googling second lfie freebies and checking the blogs and flicker sites dedicated to free clothing and skins. That's a great way to start out. I still however feel that at some point you should consider paying into sl a little bit because freeloading while nice for you is a downer for merchants as it cost money to create in the long run.

Playing Linden Realms is an easy enough way to earn the sort of money you would have earned from camping. You can get up to about L$50 an hour, if you play when its not very busy (assuming the portal exchanges are working, which they often aren't).
