Texture memory problem

Question

Hi there techies Helpers! I cannot set my Texture memory higher than 192. Is it due to my system? Thanks in advance for your replies ans suggestions. :smileyhappy:

Hi Val!

It could be some weird Mac thing but check Debug Settings > RenderTextureMemoryMultiple and see what it's set at. If less that 1.0, reset to 1.0 and press Enter. If at 1.0 and you're only getting 192MB and 256MB, increase the multiplier to say 4.0 and see if that changes what is allowed.

Forgot to say Val you can check what texture memory is available and being used from the Texture Console. From the Develop Menu, select Consoles > Texture Console (or CTRL+SHIFT+3). The start of the first line where it says GL Tot shows the current texture memory being used and the available texture memory which if you're getting the max will be 768MB (SL is capped at 512MB + 50% for other operations). For example, I logged in and it shows GL Tot 191/768 MB so using 191MB of 768MB available.
