Character Distortion

Hi everyone, i have recently come back to second life after not being on for two years, i have come back anew with the same account, However.. Recently trying on new body shapes have made my character look some what distored.. i have tried clearing the cache and restarting SL Viewer But nothing seems to work, i have gone to the avatar thing, and selected a clean avatar and then trying to wear the shape ontop of that however it just causes more distortion? , if anyone is able to please help me out! , this seems to happen with any body shape i try on

The shape you're trying on appears to be a DEMO shape. Demo shapes have oversized feet and hands to prevent people from wearing them as regular shapes, without actually buying the shape. What you want to look at when trying the shape is if you like the face and body; ignore the feet and hands. Once you've found the shape you like, buy and wear the full version and the huge hands and feet should be gone.

The shape im trying on, i actually payed 1SL for it so im not sure about that.

Demos aren't always free. Some are; others are, indeed, $1L. Look at it in your inventory and check for "DEMO" in the name. You can also head back to the store and see if there are multiple buy options for that shape. If there's a more expensive version available, chances are the $1L one is the demo version.

That is definitely a demo shape. They're no mod with oversized hands and/or feet.
