Question

Posted

The region I live in appears to have rolled back to an earlier version overnight. I know this for 3 reasons:

1 - I got an e-mail from my security orb 9 hours earlier than I normally receive it

2 - I rezzed something on my land yesterday (no copy) that is no longer there (and wasn't cheap). It's not in my inv either (and yes, that includes trash and lost & found)

3 - Someone else item rezzed on my land has reverted back to settings that were made prior to yesterday

I can't find a support ticket category to fit. This isn't the first time this has happened and I'm getting really sick of having to re-buy things that go missing.

Thanks.

Unfortunately the answer is :

Loss of objects as the result of a Region crash

Recently rezzed objects that are missing after a Region crash have likely been lost. A Region rolls back to a previously saved state when it recovers from a crash. Sadly, anything lost as the result of a Region crash cannot be recovered.

See more info here : http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Inventory_loss

That's why there is no direct entry for support tickets of that type. LL also claims to not being responsible for this kind of loss. Which is understandable to a certain extend.

Best is if you know the region you have rented a parcel on is unstable - to either move on to another region / parcel. Or try not to buy or rez no copy objects.

The answer of < Codewarrior Congrejo> is very helpful, really.

Since expensive objects like animals or media player are normally <no copy>, we all can be happy with this hint! LL is not responsible for lost of objects, the Estate isn't, too. So all is to the end-user :) LL provides a bad service like 1.500 k data rate, calling websites at MP needs a lot of patience, like all LL-content web wide :( Therefore they force us to buy their L$ only at LindeX in future to help them makeing more money for bad service LOL
