If I have a Linden home but want to buy land can I simply abandon the home?

I want to buy a parcel and have  my 512 credit. Can I simply abandon my Linden home (Wizard's Retreat) and it will automatically give me the land tier credit?"

Yes.  

To abandon your Linden Home, pick up all your stuff first.  Then:

 

1. Choose World > About Land and click the General tab.
2. Click Abandon Land. 
   After you confirm your choice, the land is removed from your account.

You may then apply your 512 sq m land fee waiver to any land you buy on the mainland.
