I asked about an Item In My Inventory about a Chimera with a broken link.

I have a new problem that I hope you can help me with. How do I search for the original item? I looked everywhere in my inventory and all that seems to come up is the one with the link broken. I s there any simplier way I can return it maybe by clearing my cache to see if It is deleted and comes back . I didnt delete the item, I was trying to return it from my land when I dropped it and to edit and tried to return it to inventory it came back broken.

Here is the Bad News when editing Chimera's

If you have a no-copy dance or movement in the Chimera, then it is removed from your inventory,, period.

Rezzing the Chimera in-world [ as opposed to simply wearing it on your person  ] removes the Chimera [ now also a no-copy object ] from your inventory as well.

Failure to pick up that rezzed Chimera or inadvertantly f forgetting where you rezzed it is the same as deleting it from your inventory.

You may have long ago lost the original thinking that the Chimera in your inventory [ usually with the same name ] was the priomary one with your no-copy objects in it.

 

Another possibility is that one or more of the dances or movements in it may have run afoul of the DCMA and Linden Lab deleted the orrifinal object from your inventory. I've also had this hapopen although in most cases the offenting object is replaced with a object named "IP~~~~~~~~".. In any case, you may end up with a broken link this way as well.
