A C++ Runtime Error message comes as a program running on your PC encounters problems. Run-time errors are usually caused by incomplete installation. If the programs are not completely installed, this means that some files or folders required to hurry the program have gone missing or not found in the directory. The best solution to fix this C++ Runtime Library error is to uninstall and reinstall the program.  Do a complete CLEAN INSTALLATION of the Secondlife viewer.  See here for instructions >>> http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/How-to-uninstall-and-reinstall-Second-Life/ta-p/1375231

Sweet,

C++ Runtime errors were common under the Windows XP OS. You don't see them too often on Vista, Windows 7 & Windows 8. If you are still using Windows XP you need to do 2 things:

1) Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86)

2) Run Microsoft Windows Updates until all updates are installed as well.

Lets us know if this dies the trick for you.
