I don't like my free house, how can I get another one?

I got a free house with my premium membership, only the keypad doesn't work and I can't get out of it and enjoy the outside patio. Also, I'm over it already. How do I get a new, ready-made house?

You can easily get out of your home by simply using your camera to swing outside the walls and double click a spot to teleport to or use the world map to teleport outside. You could also swing your camera outside and rez a chair on the patio and sit on it to get outside next time. It's possible the keypad fault is temporary and will fix itself but I suggest you contact Live Chat immediately to get it fixed https://support.secondlife.com/start-chat/

Abandoning or changing your Linden Home

 To change your choice of Linden Home type, you must abandon your current Linden Home and then register for a new one.

 To abandon your Linden Home:

 

1. Choose World > About Land and click the General tab.
2. Click Abandon Land.  After you confirm your choice, the land is removed from your account.

 Now if you wish, you can register for another Linden Home.

 

Warning: Please use this reasonably: if you abandon and choose a new Linden Home five times in 24 hours, you are temporarily blocked from choosing another. You will need to wait 24 hours before registering again.
