Cannot search for adult places, but preferences are set to G, M, A

I am an adult and my preferences are set to G.M,A.  Yet when I attept to search adult places, I am told my marturity settings do not allow Adult places to be searched.  What am I missing?

Probably a misunderstanding.  You are being excluded, but not because of your RL age.  You are being excluded because of your SL age.  You were just born today.   Club owners and others on Adult sims especially will automatically bar anyone who is less than a month old from entering.  It's nothing personal.  It's just business, as they said in the Godfather movies.  A high percentage of the most annoyingly juvenile griefers in SL are less than 30 days old, so club owners exclude anyone that young to keep griefers out.  After 30 days, many of them have been banned or lost interest.  So, wait a month.  In the meanwhile, explore all the other neat places in SL.

You need to set those preferences in three places!  In your Profile...CTRL+P/General tab...and in the Search window itself...and, if you are shopping on the Marketplace, there as well.
