Hello, I would be greatful for any suggestions as to what I might be doing wrong here. I bought some mesh components from the marketplace. They are builders packs and 100% user licensed.

The build has no scripts, and all the textures I have applied are full perm, yet when I take it into my inventory it shows as no transfer, and weirdly enough also no modify! But when its rezzed on the ground in front of me, the perms in the build tool all show as M/C/T and I can mod it no problem. Am I missing something here? Thanks!

I have been building things in SL for six years and I still find permissions confusing sometimes.  I don't have a good answer for you, but I can suggest two ways to double check perms before you sell your work to someone else.

1. Activate debug permissions in your viewer.  That will show you a more comprehensive set of information about permissions than you get from the standard Permissions window.

2. Work with an alt who does NOT have permission to modify your objects. I trust my alt more than I trust the Marketplace trial delivery system to tell me when I am listing an item with the wrong perms.

In addition to what Rolig said, I usually edit the permissions of any object from the inventory, to avoid lagg issues.

From the inventory, Right-click the item you want to edit its perms. Choose properties. From the pop-up window, you can see the next owner permissions. Checking those will makes them TRUE and unchecking makes them FALSE.

Hope it helps. :matte-motes-smitten:

Check to see if it contains a script in the content page. If it does, check that scripts permission. It sounds like it has a script within it. Most of the times, when an item is full perms and it shows that it isn't in your inventory, then it's stating the prems of the objects held within the creation itself.
