use: English

speak: German

Even my own items do not have a german description. For the pennies and time it´s not worth maintain several languages.

If customers cannot understand there is no problem contacting me in some foreign languages.

Your question sparked my curiosity...

I only speak English and look for items in English...but, I went into Google Translate and converted a few item names into Spanish (Doll Clothes/Animation Overrider/Baseball cap) then went to look them up in Marketplace. Even after changing the language at the top to Spanish, every search came up wiht no matching items found. (No se han encontrado elementos coincidentes.)

I suppose that since LL is an American company, there's no parameters set up for other languages. Kind of a shame, I guess.....

Without defending LL and honestly when it comes to foreign languages no on tops the arrogance of american ones, there are 4 or 5 ? different tabs for languages on the marketplace.

Only the creators have to use them ...

My native language is German, but I'll have to use English everytime in SL.

On the marketplace I let the categories be displayed in German, because that makes it easier to find the right category but for search I only use English, because it brings up more results.

I use English but my mother tongue is French. I find it very hard (if not almost impossible) to find items in other languages than English. :smileyhappy:

Same here. On top, when i m in sl i switch my brain to english mode lol (well,... even if my english is not good)... so its easier to keep with everything in the same language lol.

cheese rolling anyone?

Well I feel bruised all over just watching that video!

I'm glad my Double Gloucester cheese in the fridge is an oblong chunk, or I might have been tempted to go roll it in the garden.

I'm fluent in English, pretty good in Esperanto, and routinely pleased at how much French I've retained...  But MarketPlace keeps wanting to do everything in Spanish, and I do not see anywhere to change this.  I use websites that offer a choice of languages every day, but apparently not this one.  HELP!!!
