We can't begin to guess what's wrong unless you tell us all about your computer and tell us exactly what error message you get when you try to start the viewer.  Tio add valuable information, click on the Options link in the upper right corner of your question and select EDIT. Please do NOT start a new thread.

Hi Milva,

Second Life getting stuck on initialising VFS (Virtual File System) is quite a common occurrence. Follow the instructions below and you should be fine.

Enable Hidden Files & Folders if not already enabled:

1) Open Control Panel
2) Open “Folder Options”
3) Open the “View” tab
4) Check “Show hidden files, folders, and drives”

Press OK and close control panel.

Accessing AppData;

In Windows 7, browse to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\

Inside the AppData folder:

1) Open the Local folder and delete the entire Second Life folder.

2) Go back one level to the AppData folder.

3) Open the Roaming folder and delete the entire Second Life folder. If you wish to save existing chat files you've had with other avatars, rename the folder SecondLife_old and drag any chat text files you wish to retain into the new default Roaming > Second Life > [avatar name] folder once you've logged in at least once.

4) Restart your computer (important).

5) Log in normally to Second Life.

If still an issue after this, you can add comments to your post using Options/Edit.
