unable to connect to simulator

can not seem to log in at all, I keep getting*unable to connect to simulator* anyone have any ideas?

Try logging  in to a different sim.

Slow Restart For A Small Number of Regions

[Posted 9:05am PDT, 22 April 2013] We’re restarting a small number of regions this morning.  They may be down for slightly longer than a normal restart cycle.   We’ll return all regions to service as quickly as possible.

i'm having the exsact  same prolbem now .been trying for an  hour now and not able to log in how long does this take before i can log in?

You CAN log in. Just log in to a different sim. They are called rolling restarts because LL doesn't restart all of the sims at the same time. Each one is off line for maybe 15 minutes unless they discover a more serious issue that needs attention. meanwhile, find a sim that has already been restarted or hasn't been restarted yet. Go shopping, dance, explore, ....
