Second Life: Cannot derez object due to inventory fault

All objects, or just some?  I suspect that you can rez a cube with no trouble.  Your locally cached inventory may be messed up, though, so your viewer doesn;t have the information it needs to rez things from it.  So clear your cache "manually" and force the viewer to rebuild a new copy from SL's servers.  Here's how >>> http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/fs_cache_clear .  If you are not using the Firestorm viewer, just replace the word "Firestorm" with the name of your own viewer ("SecondLife," "Catznip," or whatever).  The most important part of those instructions is the line that says, "While inventory repopulates, do not teleport anywhere, and do not attempt to access anything in your inventory."

Linden Lab have been working on servers today, and inventory has been having problems. In spite of the Second Life grid status declaring this issue to having been fixed, it is clearly not, judging by the amount of groups chatting about having problems inworld currently.

Please, therefore, submit a support ticket via the "help" option at the top of this page.

There are Inventory issues at the moment. Follow the SL grid status page to see when the spook is gone.

"Investigating - We are currently aware of an issue impacting inventory at this time. During this time, residents may have issues with any inventory related activities including building, logging in, as well as avatar and object rezzing. Please refrain from rezzing in-world at this time. Keep an eye on this blog for further updates. "
