I just created an ALT, & am trying to purchase land. It keeps telling me it "can't authenticate" me

I checked everything I could think of, ALT account has payment information on file so yes, I CAN purchase Linden directly with the ALT account, and I can purchase Linden with the ALT account without issue. But for some reason when I click "Buy Land", it won't pay the SIM owner for the land - nothing happens and that stupid 1L isn't deducted from my account. If I try it again, I get the "cannot authenticate you" message.  I saw somewhere it said to try a relog, but I have done this several times with the same results. Is this a SL issue, or is there something I haven't verified or selected with this new avatar? I am not trying to purchase mainland, just essentally rent land to park my breedables on.  Thanks in advance for all replies.

 

UPDATE:  It was something to do with the SIM itself. The estate owner reset the SIM and the problem disappeared.  :)

There is no "tie to your primary account".  Each account is treated as a separate person.  If you want to buy $L with your alt, you must have a payment method on file for that account.  If you want to buy Mainland, you must purchase a Premium membership for that alt.
