I3looddevil Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 We are currently looking for Hosts, DJ's and Dancers. Must have voice to verify your sex. We are flexable with good hours and good owners.
Syo Emerald Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Where is the sense in asking people to verfiy their gender? - Why does someone needs to know if the DJ is male or female, as long as the music is good? - Why does someone needs to know if the host is male or female, as long as they know how to do their job? - Why does someone needs to know if a dancer is male or female, as long as their emotes are well written? Nobody will have sex with them, nobody is going to be part of their real life...hell, their avatar could be even genderless... This sounds like someone being homophobic....:catfrustrated: That this habit from the wannabe elite brothels now leaks into other jobfields is somewhat shocking and horrible.
Freya Mokusei Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 It's typically about control. Same as just about every restriction on hiring for entertainment jobs. Sometimes it also provides an easy excuse to say no to people the owners find disreputable. Sometimes (but also common) it's because the owners expect sexual submission from their employees. Choosing the 'Make Friends' forum is an ironic choice for such silliness. It's a good gauge for places to avoid. OP is asking on behalf of 'Divine Forbidden Desires', BTW.
Amethyst Jetaime Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 I always find the voice/cam verified thing amusing. It is easy to get around that or a cam verification since they can just get a friend to do it. Its not any proof at all. It just discourages people from applying, even if they are the same sex as their gender.

I don't know about other people, but I wouldn't 'verify' for a couple of bucks a month (that the OP chose to say verification necessary, but gave no pay details pretty much confirms their priorities) . It's so over-connected to those that indulge in drama that I can only assume they don't want applicants.
Syo Emerald Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 I would stack some pillows on my seat and place my cat on top of them. Then turn the camera on and hide behind the chair with my headset. Who should have a problem with a fluffy nice furball to work for them? :catvery-happy:
Azanor Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 How about posting this to inworld employment section, instead of making friends?

I absolutely agree with you. If its just a job for a few hours no less that you are probably not going to make all that much why does it need to be verified? If you are never going to voice chat, why care. Its not like there is going to be a relationship out of it. I agree its homophobic.
IsisRea Diavolo Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Agree.... and it's funny, 'cus this supposed to be SL where anybody should live it's own fantasy without being asked to reveal anything from it's RL.
