How to put designs on pre-made mesh clothing

Hello Second Life community, I had a question about putting designs on a particular mesh clothing item.

What program other than Photoshop is good to use for making clothing designs? Not the mesh, but the design itself. I want to get into selling clothes and wanted to know what the community had for advice and opinions.

Gimp http://www.gimp.org/ is a free program, similiar to Photoshop. There are plenty of tutorials for it too.

I just downloaded the photoshop cs5 tutorial. Thanks Jewel. Are there any good tutorials on how to use pre-made mesh clothes on marketplace and then use them in photoshop to create designs on the clothing item?

Usually creating for mesh templates/kits/what have you is the same as creating for the regular SL avie. The only diffrence is UV layout which you'll havef to figure out for eacht hing you buy.

You can check out my youtube, I don't really have alot of how to use full perm mesh stuff tho But, I do have a tutorial on how to make the meshes show YOU as the creator without uploading the DAE files in world.. And many videos on texturing clothing for SL. Other than that I always suggest prowling youtube!!! I learned EVERYTHING I do in SL for my store from youtube! Most times you can find some really good tutorials on there! Good luck with your business!! <3
