SL Viewer tries to load then says its trying to server connection attempt 1

OK So when I installed the newest SL Viewer on my Windows 8, it worked fine for months. I even have it on my Laptop Windows 8. Now after I update to a premium account and attempt to logon, it says Checking hardware and making attempt 1 to server and then it vanishes completely. I can use the singularity version fine but I would like to have this work. Anyone have any ideas what to check?

You are seeing a message from the crash logger.  It can often indicate that your viewer or one of the settings files in your AppData folder have been corrupted.  If so, the solution is to do a clean re-install of the viewer.
