I'll miss LucasArts, but the LucasArts that made those great games died a long, long time ago.

I'm hoping this new situation will let the people who created those games (all long gone from LucasArts) will be able to get their hands on those franchises again.

I miss PacMan and MsPacMan.  One of my techno-geek friends loaded those games and other oldies on my PC years ago but that was many HD's back...anyone know where to get those games for PC now?

The first PC game I ever saw was Pong on a tiny B&W TV.  My former husband, group of friends, and I were mesmerized by it.  Oh how times have changed.

There's always M.A.M.E.

Go to http://www.mame.net/ and download the appropriate emulator for your PC, then download the ROM either from http://www.emuparadise.me/M.A.M.E._-_Multiple_Arcade_Machine_Emulator_ROMs/Pac-Man_%28Midway%29/15250 (that's the direct link to Pac Man, they do have Ms. Pac Man too) or from http://coolrom.com/roms/mame/9849/Ms._Pac-Man.php (Ms Pac Man, but they, too, have a large collection of ROMs for M.A.M.E.)

True that, Though the body was finally buried earlier this month, the spirit had left well over a decade ago.

Still, as long as LucasArts was still there, one could've hoped for a return of the creative uniqueness that  did, for too brief a time, make for some of the most enjoyable entertainment. I still baby an old computer simply because I can run Monkey Island and Full Throttle on it.

If anything, the current situation might make that more likely.

The people who made LucasArts the creative powerhouse it was in the 90's were given pink slips long ago. They now work at, or run, other studios. If LucasArts is now gone, there is a possibility that Disney is willing to sell those IPs off to the original creators.
