Question

I am wondering what viewer I will need for SSB once it is started.  I have the old SL viewer 34.1 (Nov, 5, 2012).

Will I need to uninstall and then re-install one of SL's latest viewers?  If so, which one?

I assume I don't need a third party viewer but can stay with LL's viewers.

This time I hope I've asked the right questions!

Would appreciate some advice - thanks.

Fidelity.

You will need the official Viewer from Linden Lab.

Easy as pie. If you are using this viewer now, you will be informed automatically when you will need to upgrade to the latest version.

If you are brave, you can test drive the Beta viewer...

Most of the Third Party viewers are already being upgraded to handle Server Side Baking, so you should have no trouble getting an upgrade to whatever viewer you are using now.   See Firestorm's blog, for example. There are some exceptions, however.  Phoenix is no longer supported by its own developers, for example, and will be dead.  So will all V1 viewers, so if you are still using the ancient 1.23 viewer, all avatars will suddenly be gray for you.
