Notifications and Preferences

Hi, I have been in SL for a long time but this week I installed it in a new laptop.

I'm using the latest release from Firestorm as before but since the day I installed it, I get 5 notifications from my groups every time I log in, no matter how many times I delete them, one is even from a group I already left that day.  The notifications from today or yesterday don't reappear if I delete the, just those 5 from 3 days ago.

Apart from that, my Preferences don't get saved. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it with no result.

Any hints on what I could do?

I have never heard of this happening, so I suggest that you log in to the Firestorm support group in world and ask your question there.  The online support staf there are probably your best resource.

Someone earlier today or yesterday mentioned getting all group notifications twice. I hadn't heard of this before the recent update, so I wonder if it's related?

Yeah, I responded to that one. I think that may be a side-effect of using wireless, which sometimes creates an echo. Creating FIVE echoes, though, is harder to explain, and so is not being able to save Preferences.

I've been seeing multiple notifications across crashes of the Beta Viewer - interesting. But these only manifest themselves as repeats of messages I got in the prior crashed session. :catsurprised:
