I pressed I Delete accont button,then logged out&after l can log on again?! Why is my account there?

I need your assistance.

It seems that I can't delete my accont: when I pressed I Delete accont button and then logged out to check, l could log on again and I saw the same login name on the page?! Why is my account there again?

Please. help me to delete my account entirely!

It takes a long time until an account is deleted forever. Just don't log in and forget about it.

Where did you press "Delete account?" If you pressed it in the viewer, you didn't delete your account. All that button does is remove the name from the stored account information in your viewer, so that you have to reenter the username to log in again. The only way to permanently delete account is to log in on the website - NOT the viewer, you can't do this from inworld or through the viewer - go to the main page, My Account, Cancel Account. Confirm whatever LL needs you to confirm, then wait a few days for cancellation to go through. It's not immediate; it'll say "pending" for a while, and you'll still be able to log in until it goes through.

Note: This is permanent. Well, sort of. You can restore a cancelled account, but you have to pay $9.95 and may lose all of your inventory. Make sure you downgrade from Premium to Basic, if you were Premium, and that you abandon any land you may have, including your Linden home, before you cancel.

Really, it's easier to just downgrade everything, abandon all land, and delete your viewer. You don't have to cancel your account; just stop logging in. The account will stay in the database, in case you ever want to come back, and if you do change your mind and come back, you won't have to pay the reactivation fee or risk losing your inventory.
