New to mesh and need a little help.

So first; whats the best simplest mesh creator/software. i had a good one once but lost it

2nd; how do you make it loadable to sl?

3rd; how do you create it? with a sculpt? special build? what?

 

any other random facts and info about mesh building is WELCOMED! lol

A very short answer...

1.  Blender.  It's not simple, no 3D modeling software is "simple".  But it is free!  Sketchup is easier to use and also free, but you'll still need Blender to convert the model to Collada format, and Sketchup tends to make corrupt models.

2.  You must save your model as a Collada (.dae) file.

3.  You create a mesh object by building it in the 3D modeling software you are using.  You use any of its tools to make the model look the way you want.  Then you create a texture map for it, by painting on an "unwrapped" UV map template in GIMP or Photoshop.  Then you save the completed model as a .dae file and upload it to SL.
