Orca Flotta Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 So you basicallly want to look like a metrosexual douche?
Fayette Charron Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Maybe one of these would work for the skin. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Demo-Faustino-Avatar-By-TELLAQ/3613907 https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Cornelius-Avatar-By-TELLAQ/3266359 https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Jamaican-Man-Skin-M1-by-Unique-Megastore-1-Face-Option-Eyes-Bald-Base/4061038 Hair base for the blond https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Egoisme-Hair-Base-Shaved/1703037 https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/LANEVO-MC-HAIRBASE-BUZZCUT-BONNIE-BLONDE/3520596 https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Unorthodox-Carter-Hair-Blonde/3734979 Shape you'll have to try and work to get it how you like, I suggest doing the shape on the demo skin, not getting the skin before you know if it will work for you. Hope this is of some help. PS If you need help with the shape feel free to hit me up inworld. I'm a shape addict and would be happy to help as best I can.
JasperHQ Posted April 5, 2013 Author Posted April 5, 2013 ohh thanks for the links both of you :matte-motes-big-grin: really helped alot.
Estevan Preiss Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 It's interesting that so manyt people are expressing their opinions instead of giving helpful constructive Advice. For that look there are a number of Content Creators you can look towards. Eyebrow and Lips - This is pretty Much up to you. All you need to do is find a modifyable hairbase and shape - The hairbase will let you control your eyebrows and the shape can determine your lips. It may take some tweaking. Sometimes I will set my shape initially, and then as I interact with things in world I modify it as needed (A prime example is MESH) I keep to shapes per skin (One Mesh Friendly and one Non) Skin - I would say that you can checkout: The Body Co. (Warning their skins are sold WITH shapes, but most people edit those shapes anyway and they are pricey) Cheerno HOMME (Cheerno has an affinity for making male skins with high tones of skin and really red lips "Pretty males" ) Eyes - Poetic Eyes (Amazing Quality Mesh eyes) Lelutka (Hyper Realistic eyes) EYELASHES - I know Im probably going to get flamed for this but MANY good looking boy avatars buy Lashes because it adds a Gentle-ness to an otherwise MASCULINE skin - I would say buy some of the most basic lashes you can find (None with Heavy Mascara look) and adjust them to your eyes. Hair - Blonde Hairbases: Detalez - She has some unizes Blone hairbases and some with some pretty cool etched designes in them Unorthodox - An urban Male hair shop that showcases lots of unique harbese, both etched and Plain Black Hairbases: Aitui - really nice etched black male and female hairbases NOTE: Also, just remember that a lot of this guys pictures depict ATTITUDE which means, that you can accomplish his look, but will need to modify your shape accordingly or use a male EMOTER HUD for pictures. A lot of looks are accomplished in-world by the work you put into them, not the things you buy. Ciao - and happy grid hunting.
Orca Flotta Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Shaved breast? That's a sure sign for a metrosexual of the stupidest kind. Could be a thug too.
Madeline Blackbart Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Estevan Preiss wrote: It's interesting that so manyt people are expressing their opinions instead of giving helpful constructive Advice Yes I find it funny as well. It's a bit rude really. The op didn't ask to be insulted or say anything that deserved it. Just because you don't like the look doesn't mean that op should be ridiculed.

What's difficult about a search in Marketplace and try finding things yourself? Click male skins and male shapes...only around 7498 male skins pop up... maybe blunt.. but at least honest. The op isn't ridiculed or insulted, also teaching to look himself on the right place is helping. In what form that happens could be subject of discussion.
Nox Vought Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Damn the guy is fine. Uhh really? Giving the OP crap for asking here and being rude about it? Isn't that the purpose of this place to ask? Also look at their join date. They've only been here a week or so? I didn't even know about the Marketplace until like months after I joined. The way some people acts in here, makes me wonder if they're even old enough to be part of the SecondLife community.
495060 Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 I don't think the commentary directed was necessary. No, I'm not one who likes my men in lashes and lipsticks but everybody deserves to exist. That said, I always think its exciting to try to create the blendish ethno types. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/diamondz-B-Gianni-Full-Pack-All-8-Tones-Shape/4277645 https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Reila-Skins-Trevor-tan-DEMO/3152918 https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Reila-Skins-Trevor-medium-DEMO/3152898 https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/ZOVOTONE-5/3390062 https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Sephora-Armando-Shape-Modify/2878309 https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/8-DESIGNE-GIULIO-8-skins-TAN/4275456 https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/8-DESIGNE-Marcello-16-skins-NOUGAT/4498436 https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/PK-Skin-GIOVANNI/2427808 https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/DNA-ETHAN-COMPLETE-SET/2919163 https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/DEMOS-Zanzo-Hyperion-skins-young-male-skins-DEMOS/2874989 Take ALL the advice given about manipulating with expressions and maybe even lip colorings (your second photo definately looks like will need lip coloring, tho not so much the third photo) ALWAYS try out demos first. The photo and the reality shading are not always what you thought! And ALWAYS go to the inworld store- Given makers do not always put "everything" they make on the mp. You may find alternatives there as well as individual skins sold as opposed to "packs". Read the whole para on the MP. Just cuz you don't want mustache and stuff on what you're making and the pic there shows one often the maker will tell you "the package includes a shaved version" or something. The way a skin is drawn DOES matter when trying to definately make the ethnic look, but it is only 50%. The rest is face shape and you may want to mess with shape sliders so even when buying a shape that has facial features you like choose modifyable.

Being that he is new maybe he is unaware of a market place or how to find things. Being honest and polite is possible. People are being rude.
Sephina Frostbite Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 There was no reason to make fun of his choice of style. We are trying to get people to stay and build sl up not run them away or make them feel any less. This is a Virtual world, hell you don't have to be human. One could criticize any ones looks but that would just mean that they need to grow up and realize they are not all that or perfect themselves.
