Markusblade453 Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 Does anyone know meshers inworld that take commssions for custom mesh AV's, such as video game themed AV's from Mass Effect or Halo? If not where would I find them?
Freya Mokusei Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 Copyright is a thing that exists. Stealing other peoples ideas for profit = bad.
Kwakkelde Kwak Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 For content from Mass Effect you can contact EA, for Halo it's Microsoft I think. I don't think either has inworld activities. Seriously, you wouldn't ask if anyone wants to sell you a stolen car on these forums, so you shouldn't ask for this either.
Codewarrior Congrejo Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 As the others stated already so great, for models which would have a recognizeable style of any of the mentioned games you would need permissions from the copyright holders of these games, in order to use that. If you did the IP tutorial for meshuploads in SL you might have noticed how many times it is said that even naming something to be 'in the style of ...' is not allowed without having legal permissions from the original intelectual property rights and copyright owners. If you are just generally asking for something of that kind, you'd better be off describing it by its looks and asking for people being capable of doing something very futuristic with a certain all over style to it. But asking for directly video-game-themed avatars will bring you more trouble then good, for the above mentioned reasons. Cheers, Code
