How can i find my previous rental history?

When I first started renting property 3 years ago I rented a lovely beach house but since then I lost the landmark and cant for the life of me remember where this place was, is there anyway of finding out my previous rental history? as I would really like to rent this home again if its still avalible.

There really isn't.  Rentals are all between individual residents, so there's no record in Linden Lab.  If you can remember your landlord's name or the names of other renters at the time, that would help I suppose.  It's quite possible that the place no longer exists, of course.  In the past 6 years, I have lived or had shops on three sims that have vanished since then, and on another one that has changed owners at least twice and no longer looks the same.

If you kept chat logs on your computer, go back to the time you were renting.  Scripted objects send you messages in chat, like "MyObject at <HappyAcres 10,129,56> has offered you inventory."  You may be able, by examing your long-ago chat, find a clue that will jog your memory.
