Refunds for products or merchandise you purchased from residents in SL the answer is probably not.  It depends on the seller whether or not he/she will do it.  About the only chance for a refund is if the permissions for the merchandise is no-copy and no transfer (but, the final answer is going to come from the seller).  If you are asking about refunds for anything you purchase from Linden Lab (such as land, memberships, etc) the answer is an unqualified no.........LL does not give refunds and they state it quite clearly in the ToS.

You can sell any inventory item you, personally, created.  You also may be able to sell items that are full permission (modify, copy, transfer) but they must also have a provision for resell given by the creator who owns the intellectual property rights......not many items have such a provision and if they do it usually excludes selling the item "as is" (it must be part of another item to be sold)  Scripts and textures are commonly such items.  It all gets a little tricky and it's best to just stick with items that you, personally, created yourself.
