Re-activating a canceled account

If you have cancelled your account, you may be able to restore it, depending on how long ago it was cancelled. There is a US$9.95 reactivation fee for restoring an account.

Warning: Even if your account is restored, the associated inventory, land, and Linden dollar balance may be unrecoverable.

To start the process:

1. Open a support case.
2. Under What type of problem are you having? choose Account Issue.
3. Choose Reactivate an old account.
4. Enter the required information
5. Click Submit.

If you cancelled your account by accident, or changed your mind, do as Rolig says. Or, if you hit the "cancel account" button 12 hours ago but the account hasn't yet been cancelled, you can call LL (try calling one of the billing numbers, whichever applies to you) and ask for them to stop the cancellation before it goes through. That way, you might not have to pay the $9.95 USD.

If, however, you mean that your account has been suspended or banned or just inaccessable for the last 12 hours, there are other things you must do. You can appeal an account ban or suspension using the same "submit ticket" link Rolig gave. If you're having other account trouble, please edit your post to add details as to what kind of trouble. Choose "Options" in the upper right-hand corner of your post, then choose Edit. Please DO NOT start another thread.
