I'm not entirely sure you should be engaging in activities that would suit the name "DirtyBoi" on a public access network, while in the hospital, no less...

But anyway, try doing a clean reinstall of your viewer. If that doesn't work, do it again, but instead of reinstalling the official viewer (if that's what you use), try a TPV like Firestorm. Also, make sure your computer has enough RAM, as that can also cause this issue.

I hope you get well soon!

You may have two problems.  Usually, you'll see that VFS message if your viewer has been mangled somehow and needs to be re-installed.  If that's the issue, please do a clean re-install, following these instructions >>> http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/How-to-uninstall-and-reinstall-Second-Life/ta-p/1375231 .  Those instructions work for any viewer.  You'll just have to change the word secondlife to firestorm or imprudence, or whatever.

The second problem my be harder to solve.  Hospitals, college campuses, and corporations commonly put a firewall on their local area networks.  It's there partly to keep the general public from using their bandwidth and partly to restrict the amount of bandwidth that ANYONE is allowed to use.  You can imagine that if lots of people started running Second Life, they could use a lot of the hospital's resources and make it hard to do normal hospital stuff.  So, if there's a cap on the amount of bandwidth you are allowed to use, you may be stuck unless you can get some administrative person to make an exception for you.  Read this page to see what information they will need, if that's the case >>> http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Using-Second-Life-with-a-firewall/ta-p/1304539
