0 Charolotte Caxton Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 According to the Linden Lab Official Alt Account Policy, five per household. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Alt_account_policies In practice, you can have many more, or so I've heard. You do want to be aware however that if you have more than one account with the same email address, only the first one will be recoverable by email address should you ever have to recover it. Warning: If you registered multiple Second Life accounts with the same email address, you will be able to retrieve the username of only your first account. This is a known system limitation. Before you ever have to use this form, write down your usernames somewhere you'll remember! Retrieve your name from the Second Life website
0 Lindal Kidd Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 That depends on how you mean the question. You can have an unlimited number of avatar appearances...you can be a human, an animal, or even a vehicle. But you will always have the same username. (Your Display Name can be changed as often as once per week.) But if you want a completely different user name, you must make a new Second Life account. We commonly call these "alts", as distinguished from your first, or main Second Life account. You may have up to five accounts associated with one email address and computer.
