0 Marigold Devin
Hello Berthathetediz Did you successfully update your graphics card drivers? Check with the website for your graphics card. And then please reboot your computer. And then, you can come back here, click on "options" at the top right hand corner of your original post and "edit" to give us an update if you will. Fingers crossed for you.
0 Rolig Loon
That's typically a problem with ATI graphics cards. If you are seeing everything pink, the issue is outdated drivers. The best solution is to install the Catalyst 12.01 driver (which may imply reverting to an older version than you currently have); links are provided in the section "Known Good ATI Driver",. If for any reason you are unable to update to 12.01, then you can try 12.6 - see here. I am also told that the most recent ATI drivers work for some people. It really all depends on how your own computer is configured. If this too is not an option: Enable the Advanced menu with Ctrl-Alt-D, if it isn't already Then Advanced → Debug settings → RenderMaxTextureIndex → Set this to zero This should fix the pink textures but may also cause a drop in your FPS (Frames per second) Alternately, you can go to Preferences → Graphics -> Hardware Settings → Enable OpenGL Vertex Buffer Objects - and disable that. 0 Ariel Vuissent
Don't worry; you're not a butt. You can't reply to your own post. You CAN reply to an individual poster by clicking "permalink" at the bottom of their post. Are you sure you have the most recent drivers, and that the update was successful? Have you restarted your computer? Updating the drivers SHOULD work; I don't know of anything else that causes the pink object issue. If you're 100% sure you have the most recent driver and that it's correctly updated, and you've restarted your computer, try contacting support. You can use live chat if your account is Premium, or submit a support ticket if you don't.
0 Nyll Bergbahn
Hi Bertha, Please update your post to add details of your computer system. You can get details by opening SL to login screen (no need to login) then select Help > About Second Life. Copy/paste the information in the window that opens into your post using Options/ Edit. The info will likely just show the graphics card series so please advise the exact card you have.

0 Rolig Loon
AMD is ATI. Same company, new name.
0 Nyll Bergbahn
Hi SpyderAlice, AMD bought the graphics card manufacturing company ATI a few years ago, left it as ATI for a while then later absorbed ATI into the parent company and renamed the cards AMD. Some Nvidia cards were also affected by this pink bug but it was mainly ATI/AMD cards and driver updates fixed it. You shouldn't still be seeing pink so it may be something went wrong with your update. I'll try and help but really need to know: 1. What card do you have (I know it's AMD but what model)? 2. What Catalyst version you are using? 3. Are you using a laptop or desktop? Open SL to login screen (no need to login) then select Help > About Second Life. Copy/paste the information in the window that opens into this thread. The info will likely just show the graphics card series so, as mentioned above, please advise the exact card you have.
