Coupon Codes? How and where do you input them?

I see a lot of sites that offer Coupon Codes for $1000L off any purchase, but there's no where to input them on the checkout screens. Are these sites frauds? Or am I missing something?

I've never heard of a coupon code for Second Life... There really is no place to enter something like that. You might want to post an example of somewhere that is actually offering the coupon code so we can better judge if it is legitimate - although so far, it looks sketchy.

The L$1000 off Gift Cards are very common in SL. Check with each merchant to see what system they have in place to process them.

Usually you need to be in the Merchant's Group and will have to wear the gift Card if it is in object form. It is then queried 1st when paying for a qualifying purchase. Others will refund you on presentation of the Gift Card to the on-staff manager once a qualifying purchase is made.
