More Picks Please

I went to add another favorite spot to my Picks and shocker, no more room. I think active users could certainly use more than 10. We have more space in Groups now, think it's time to add more Picks.

Honestly there is hardly many people who use picks to promote a place they like. Most people use it as an extension of their profile to write about their friends and family. So what we really need is a profile tab just for this purpose with enough room to write the lengthy stuff people like to write.

^^This^^ It would be so nice NOT to have to limit what you want to say about who you are in SL and what you like.

LL's move to place profile related info onto the web was only half-finished as you may have giuessed.  Putting profile info on the web gives a lot of opportunities for additional linking and features but this has not really been pursued.  Possibly they got cold feet after realising that some stuff like Landmarks and Group info would nevre be fully webified - or more likely they did the easy stuff and hoped the 'Feed' would take off (which it hasn't for most people).

Either way we are left with an incomplete and messy system which they seem unwilling to develop further - but it is worth raising your request for more picks in the secondlife Jira as occassionally features like that do get picked up.
