HeatherArch Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Hey Second Life users! I have a quick favor to ask. I'm doing research for a class on why people are drawn to SL, and it would really help me out if you would take two minutes and fill out my survey, which can be found at the following link:http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/CWKXS2SIt would be super helpful (and possibly save my grade) if you filled this out. It is relatively short and openended so you can write as much or as little as you want. Thank you in advance!

Please tell me that your grade does not really depend upon a bunch of random anonymous Internet strangers?!

First the bad news: standards have fallen so far that soliciting survey responses actually survives peer review and gets published in second and third tier journals. Haven't seen in it first tier journals (yet). It is highly unlikely that the instructor suggested or required a survey. Depending on the student's field of study the survey could result in an "F" for the paper as the survey does not include informed consent suggesting it was not approved for public consumption.
