Hera Short Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Well, I tried to migrate my magic box in a timely fashion.I did it long ago on another avatar because I thought that we'd be changing over a lot sooner. That went fairly smoothly, but this time... I CRASHED while uploading things to my merchant outbox.I didn't see the items that I had uploaded to it on the marketplace as direct so, I tried again. Now I have almost 200 items in my unassociated items and several duplicates. The fun part is, no matter how many times I have tried, half the time I can't even delete more than 1 item at a time. It takes at least 30 seconds to delete 1. Half the time, it does not work and I get sent to the "Sorry to keep you waiting" screen. (So, I would assume it's not my internet or anything like that keeping me from being able to delete.) My store is marketplace only. This is a big deal. Even if someone can tell me where to report this and perhaps have my merchant outbox cleaned out so I can try again, it would be a HUGE help. Otherwise, this just isn't happening by April 2. I dont want to give up my store =(.
Even Genesis Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 I dunno, but you dont have to give up, even if you cant make it to that date, afaik everything will still be "there", but -inactive-, until you switch them

Nalates Urriah Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Peak useage in SL is 2 PM Pacific Time (USA - GMT -7 or -8 hours depending Daylight Savings). Minimum use is about 2 AM. You might try working with the MP near the minimum use times.

Sassy Romano Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 The reason they come back is because you still have Magic Boxes rezzed so when that resync's, it just sends the details about the items back to unassociated items. After deleting the items you MUST either:- Empty the magic box and sync it so that the sync'd data is now empty Remove the magic box from inworld and delete it from the magic box settings in MP You can even do both of these if you wish.
TishaRogue Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 when i switched over it went fine. it was a few months later i had issues with the merchant outbox and it took a good long time to get resolved. since then i hadnt had problems in general but i did have to delete a large group of items once and had the problem your facing. deleting one item at a time took a long time before the page was ready for the next and if i tried to delete all of them at once i froze up and crashed. i found doing them in blocks of maybe 10 items worked for me. it took longer to get ready for the next block of 10 time wise after i clicked delete. so if the server took 1 min to process one item it was taking 10 to process 10 of them. that said... it is kind of normal for data on the web in programs like this to complete the task before you get to start the next. even in some industry programs for rl companies that use data programs like this it is slow and one save at a time :matte-motes-dont-cry: its a pain yes but its not just sl.
